Our Story
In October of 1995, René Thompson and her husband were living in Charlotte, NC (where racing involves tires, not legs!).  René's husband, a long time racing fan, wanted to visit Keeneland before they began using a track announcer, so they enjoyed a weekend getaway.  It was a beautiful weekend:  the weather was perfect; the racing and handicapping was even better.  On Sunday, they left Keeneland to head home and before hitting Newtown Pike, decided to make Lexington home.  René's husband made plans to work in the industry and René would continue her consulting business.  After selling their home in Charlotte, they arrived in February of 1996. 


Before long, a farm manager that knew René's programming background asked if she could develop a way to track "looks" at the sale.  Then an accounting manager asked if we could use the existing information for tracking looks to create a way of calculating proceeds.  With input from a few sales coordinators on the pre-sales side, Consignor Sales Management was created.  Since then, new products have been added and Sales Systems & Solutions, LLC continues to look for ways to improve effeciency in all areas of the industry.

About René
René graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Finance from Appalachian State University in 1985.  She has worked in the mortgage banking, beer and equine industries holding positions in auditing, sales, sales analysis and application development.  She has a wealth of business experience from which to draw in helping you increase your efficiency.

René's biggest strength is her ability to translate your needs into effective processes that will increase your daily productivity.  In addition, René has a unique mix of creativity, curiosity and technical savvy that can be leveraged by your organization.
